Victoria Beckham’s New Fashion Move: High Street Dreams!

Victoria Beckham is shaking things up by moving from her high-end fashion empire to the more accessible high street. On Thursday, the retail giant Mango announced an exciting new collaboration with the former Spice Girl turned designer. Together, they’re launching a stunning collection featuring slip dresses, knitwear, and accessories.

Mango, the popular Spanish retailer, described this new line, set to launch on April 23, as “a perfect blend of classic British luxury.” The preview images are absolutely gorgeous! One shows a model chilling by a pool in a white oversized blazer with matching loose-fitting trousers. Another picture features a model emerging from the pool wearing a white, ruched halterneck dress. Totally chic, right?

Affordable Glamour

Now, let’s talk about the prices. While they might be a bit higher than Mango’s usual offerings, they’re still way more affordable compared to Beckham’s mainline brand. Just to give you an idea, her mainline items range from £90 for a T-shirt to a whopping £2,650 for a shearling coat. So, this new collection with Mango is definitely a win for our wallets!

A New Audience

Victoria Beckham started her label back in 2008 and has been a powerhouse ever since. In an interview with WWD, she said she decided to team up with Mango to reach a wider audience while still keeping her brand’s unique style and DNA. How cool is that?

Victoria’s Successful Year

2022 was a game-changing year for Victoria Beckham. She turned a profit for the first time after 14 years in the business. A lot of this success came from her beauty line, with bestsellers like a £40 highlighter stick and a £30 eyeliner.

Paris Fashion Week & New Ventures

Victoria also made waves by re-staging her fashion show at Paris Fashion Week, which brought in a media value of over £16 million. And right before the show, she launched her debut fragrance collection, which added another £1 million in media impact value through online and social media discussions. Talk about making headlines!

High Street Collaborations

With the high street still recovering from the pandemic, retailers are banking on collaborations with celebrities and luxury designers to bring back shoppers. For spring/summer 23, the British brand Barbour teamed up with influencer Laura Jackson for a collection of summer dresses. The French brand Soeur, which just opened its first UK store in London, worked with US blogger Leandra Medine.
